Wa`alaykum as-salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
In fact, the ongoing real holocaust on Gaza, which led to the killing of more than 125 Gazans and injured hundreds more, many of them children, is inhuman and cruel in the full sense of the word. It well manifests the Israeli aggression and violation of agreed-upon human rights and international conventions. It is the Muslims' duty — along with all just peoples — to support the oppressed and extend a helping hand to the wronged. This should be done through aiding the victims and raising objection against the oppressors. In his response to your question, prominent Muslim scholar Dr. Muhammad Abu Laylah, professor of the Islamic Studies and Comparative Religions at Al-Azhar University, states,
