Whilst many Christians cannot fathom how I can be a Muslim and still love Jesus. But I do love Jesus, and I could not be a Muslim unless I did.

Muslims and Christians alike have always been inspired and taught valuable lessons by the message and teachings of Jesus.

Because Jesus is such an influential figure among Muslims and Christians, his message can be an effective tool for millions of Muslims and Christians around the world to build bridges of compassion, understanding, and shared values.

We would like to introduce this beloved Prophet of Islam to our readers.

This folder is a practical guide for explaining who Jesus was, who was his mother, the Muslim Jesus, and Reverts Between Jesus and Muhammad; including Q & As about Jesus.

Who Is Jesus?
Muslims believe Jesus Christ to be one of the great prophets of God and hold that all prophets are brothers and that their religion is the same, namely, Islam (or unconditional submission to Allah)

Jesus in the Quran

The Jesus which God tells about in the Quran is quite different from the Gospel of Jesus, although there are some similarities. Especially at Christmas time, when the depictions of Prophet Jesus are at their most florid, we need to remind people who Jesus really was.

Who Is Mary?
Mary was a woman who was fit to bring such a miracle as that of Jesus, who was born without a father. She was known for her piety and chastity, and if it were any different, then none would have believed her claim to have given birth while remaining in a state of virginity, a belief and fact to which Islam holds true.

Mary in Islam (Part 1)

Mary, the mother of Jesus, holds a very special position in Islam, and in the Quran, God proclaims her to be the best woman amongst all humanity, whom He chose above all other women due to her piety and devotion.

The Muslim Jesus
Jesus was born in Nazareth (could be Bethlehem) miraculously (i.e. without a father) as the son of Maryam, during the reign of Tiberius Caesar, the Roman Emperor. The Jesus which God tells about in the Quran is quite different from the Gospel Jesus, although there are some similarities.

The Muslim Jesus

Growing up, Jesus was the third person in my life, along with my mother and grandmother. Whilst many Christians cannot fathom how I can be a Muslim and still love Jesus. But I do love Jesus, and I could not be a Muslim unless I did.

Reverts Between Jesus and Muhammad
In the Muslim view, Jesus' essential work was not to replicate magic bread or to test our credulity, but to complement the legalism of the Torah with a leavening compassion rarely expressed in the older testament.

Jesus Through a Muslim Lens

The shared interest of both Christians and Muslims in Jesus of Nazareth and his message goes much further than a belief in his miracles, Michael Wolfe, a filmmaker and an author of books of poetry, fiction, travel, and history, writes.

Celebrating Christmas
As Muslims we cannot celebrate Christmas as it is a Christian celebration. We believe that Jesus is a prophet and not the son of God nor God, and that Allah is the only God, and we do not associate any other gods with Him.

New Reverts’ Christmas Dilemma

In my first year as a Muslim I found Christmas very difficult, I had never celebrated Christmas in a religious way but just enjoyed all the traditions of sharing food, watching films and exchanging gifts with my family.

Q & As About Jesus
How do Muslims view Jesus? Did Prophet Jesus die for our sins? Is Prophet Muhammad superior to Prophet Jesus? Will Jesus come back?

Did Jesus Die for Our Sins?

Such a belief would lead some to say that even doing good deeds was not necessary, since Jesus' death on the cross had decided once and for all who had been saved in baptism. The idea of sinning on purpose, though, goes even beyond that belief and I know of no Christian Church that would subscribe to such an idea.
